Hello all, did you miss me?
So MetaKraken's asked if I was going to re-work my profiles for the teams with the new update, wasn't so sure but one thing that has got my head going is that there's at least some evidence of tech sharing amongst the teams in the Omega edition of HD-Fury.
For those out of the loop, in 2048, the five teams all had a weapons system announcer unique to the team - British Male for FEISAR, American Male for Auricom, Russian Male for Qirex, Brazilian Female for Pir-hana and Japanese Female for AG-Systems. These voices have been carried across to the new edition, but they've also been shared out amongst the other teams. Some of which invalidates my previous rivals head canons, so maybe I will have to work over my files once more. Here are what I've picked up on so far.
FEISAR Systems (British Male):
FEISAR (European Union)
Assegai Developments (South Africa)
The Icaras Project (United Kingdom)
AG-S Systems (Japanese Female):
AG-Systems (Japan)
Triakis Industries (Australia)
Mirage MAGEC
(United Arab Emirates)
Auricom Systems (American Male):
Auricom Originals (United States of America)
Harimau
International (Malaysia)
Qirex Systems (Russian Male):
Qirex Research And Development (Russia)
EG-X Technologies (Finland/China)
Pir-Hana Systems (Brazilian Female):
Piranha Advancements (Brazil)
Goteki 45 (Polynesian Islands)
Van-Uber Systems (German Male):
Van-Uber Racing (Germany)
Tigron Systems (Deeper-voiced Russian Male):
Tigron Enterprises (Russia)
So one thing I'm not going to be able to do is claim that Icaras and FEISAR are at loggerheads as much if Icaras is using Feisar tech, but the biggest change to the canon I wrote is that AG-Systems and Triakis are now in bed together. One thing I'm not sure about though is Van-Uber, it doesn't sound like any of the other male teams, but it seems a bit odd to have a unique set of voice lines exclusively for a DLC team. Am I just hearing things? Thoughts and comments below.

In bed together?!? XD It is kind of strange that certain teams who have rivalries with each other would share the same announcer. I'd assume it was due to a shortage of time for the developers. I don't really mind, though.

It doesn’t make sense to me if AG-S and Triakis share tech or were allied teams considering the official team backstories, though they never said if they’re allies/rivals, or were rivals before/after Triakis’ disqualification. Honestly, I think they messed up on the weapon system choice for Triakis. It would be appropriate to have FEISAR's since it's English. And for EG.X to also have AG-S weapon system since they’re both eastern Asian teams but are not allies (aside from Finland). Mirage I can’t explain though.
If you have to rewrite something in, it probably wouldn’t be so much tech sharing but rather acquired it someplace else or stolen tech. I don’t know, I rather keep AG-S and Triakis being rivals, especially since I reference those two teams being enemies in my Pilot Archives. Tech sharing would be a big change for my canon also which I don’t want to rewrite.
Then again that’s my own canon and I don’t care if the weapon systems are shared with other unlikely teams if there’s no official reason to it. If it’s officially canon that Triakis and AG-S are allies or tech sharing from the developers, then I’ll make the choice of changing it, regardless.

I think it's simply more based on region similarities, well...at least for Icaras + FEISAR and Tigron + Qirex...
Oh well, scrap that.
As for the Van-Über, i think it wouldn't be too surprising to make something original for a DLC team. I dunno if that is actually the case...

It's probably worth pointing out as far as I'm aware, the Triakis/AG-S rivalry was entirely made up by me, and isn't actually canon at all. I just noticed a lot of posts on this forum seem to go by the profiles I made a few years ago as gospel - they're entirely not. Infoxicated mentioned he was going to do a bit of story-writing himself to work Van-Uber and Tigron into the new canon for FX350, maybe he'll mention it. But if you all do want it, we could say it's another mocking slap in the face from the race organisers, saying they don't trust Triakis' weapon systems and therefore they have to use an AG-S one instead to prevent another RIDS controversy.

Also Ace told me that today:
-Triakis is the Aussie team
-Weapon conglomerate runs it
-The ship is a damn tank
Ergo it's voice must be the cute Japanese girl
Qirex or FEISAR would have fit quite a bit better, eh?

Update to anyone else, I think I might have been hearing things - Tigron has a unique voice. It's much deeper than Qirex's, though it sounds similar. Big difference is in 'bomb' especially.

That does make more sense to me at least and doesn’t change too much. I guess the biggest question now is how Mirage got a hold of it. The rest could just be regional with Assegai probably being an ally or got a hold of European tech from FEISAR instead of AG-Sys, I won’t mind that change. Harimau / Auricom and Piranha / Goteki on the other hand, that’s also really odd.
As for Tigron’s weapon system, I do notice it as well. Sounds more menacing, I like it.

I imagine it's a similar sort of thing to what happens in Formula 1 where different teams pick engine suppliers. Perhaps it was a thing at the start of FX350 to avoid a RIDS issue that the five 'established' teams made a generic use weapons system and were able to distribute it to other teams. AG-S had to supply Triakis (perhaps for no cost, since I like to think that while Triakis don't like AG-Systems, the Japanese have no ill will and feel pretty ashamed over the whole 'being gifted a world championship' thing), and Mirage bought a contract.
EG-X could still be experimenting with its' own things, the neural interface flying as seen as far back by eG.r in Fusion, so they'd want to keep it under wraps. Even if Qirex is under new management, perhaps enough money could convince them to look the other way at some of the less ethical parts of their allies' use of equipment.
Harimau most likely bought a contract with Auricom, no real strings attached. Possibly since they arrive late to the season (same as Auricom) it's a teething issue for both teams. If we're still doing role-play with FX350 ships, could easily say there's something wrong with Auricom's AI.
Piranha wasn't a particularly good performer in Pure as far as I remember, so very possibly their weapon system is the cheapest - and that's why Goteki 45 have gone for it, being back markers as well.
I think the FEISAR/Assegai tie up is just mutual understanding between the teams, I imagine they get on quite well. Both are managed by big international organisations rather than having one solid base, so having a system that's instantly understandable to lots of people regardless of language or traditions could probably make a lot of sense. Icaras is a different basket though, since I always assumed the history (I'll have to watch Hellfire's video again) was that Icaras did a takeover of one of FEISAR's plants so that's the one I have trouble making reasons why they'd be so willing to use it. If they were, I bet FEISAR is milking every last drop of cash for the contract, and maybe even trying to sabotage their Euro rivals so they can be brought back into the fold.

It'll be interesting to see what you'll come up with seeing that all but Van-Uber and Tigron use the same voices.
EDIT: I just finished reading your posts about the rivalries and it is very interesting that it became a thing. I will like to see what Infoxicated does with the story.
