Control Setup and Settings

Hey just wondering what way all of you guy's and gal's have wipeout setup ie controls music things like that. this is mine
steering: Dpad
Accelorator:X, and its set to 60.
Air Brakes: Set to 90.
Music:At the moment im listening to the new Prodigy album.
View:Close
Favourite ship:At the moment Pirahna.
Hud:wipeout HD
Assisted steering off. I actually had this on for a long time, but after playing pulse for a while i preffered to have it off. but was a steep learning curve wouldn't go back to assist though.

Thats all i can think of for now, if anyone has any tips or suggestions then please share with the rest of the pilots cheers!

Steering: Left analogue stick (still have to try out the d-pad soon I heard it's so much easier to control)
Accelerator: X, and its set to 10. (Read on some post this is pressure sensitive so to set it to 10 acts digital therefore allowing to lightly press to maintain full speed)
Air Brakes: Set to 70. (my sweet spot)

I suggest you change that to 10, the higher the number the harder you need to push the button to get full thrust.

Why anyone would even consider using the external view in this game is beyond me. For me this game is all about insane speeds and the thrill of the chase (or being chased), and internal view is by far the best way to achieve that feeling. I tried external view once, and the game seemed so slooow (on phantom). But that's just my opinion.
Ship : Used to be Feisar, but I won my first Nordic Session with Icaras last week, so I'm going with Icaras for now.
PA : off, off, OFF!
HUD : Wipeout HD. Would like to go back to the 2097 hud, but it really needs the proximity detector.
Music : "Best of" the old wipeout soundtracks, some Pendulum and the Skatalites

Some really good mixes there so far lol. I'll have to change my accelerate to 10 thank's for the tip!
My other music I listen to is Trance Anthems Classics, ive been meaning to get the pendulum album goes really well with this kind of game.
Oh i used to use the stick until i watched a dev interview and he said the game was far better using the d-pad, so i gave it a go and never looked back.

Hud - HD, like the proximity but it annoys me when it picks up people who just seem to join races not to race and spend the whole time doing other things. 1 pilot in particular has been doing this the last couple of days. I've been told its to get exp points but I thought you only got those for actually finishing races
Pitch - default don't use the motion option.
Music - I have some old Cafe del Mar original CDs, Ibiza euphoria and chilled out euphoria. Perfect songs depending on Zone or Online.
Dope - usually. The later the night the worse I am. I seem to be at my best at 9am !! Ask Blackwiggle
TV - Samsung 32". Not sure I could cope with much bigger than that and the Mrs wouldn't stand for any bigger in our lounge. Likes to think she is classy .....
