Default HDMI ISSUES on HD tube Tv

My son has a 32" 1080i tube Sony widescreen tv. The picture is excellent as it was near the last tube HD tvs produced. Just the other day, the PS3 and PS4 stopped showing the picture, however, the wii U and Xbox 360 still work perfectly fine. I tested the following.

    1) cables all work fine, tested multiple cables, even directly to the tv instead of the selector , and they all worked fine on the 360 and wii
    2) hard reset to safe mode did not work for either
    3) powered everything off, did not work
    4) changed resolution using a different monitor, did not work when putting back.

I have a couple more tests this morning, 1) using my PS3 on his tv(DID NOT WORK), and 2) using his PS3 on the basement TV ( same TV), 3) also tring to boot the PS3 at least using a av cable, then trying to switch.(DID NOT WORK)

Only thing I could dig up from googling is resetting console to whatever format it can use by holding power button down on start up for 5 seconds or so. I'm going to guess you have already tried that. Wish I could have found something more useful .

Yeah, tried that. It worked on the basement tv, which makes no sense whatsoever as it is the same tv. I ended up putting component cables on the PS3, it looks just as good as it is a tube TV, I didn't really notice any difference. I may have to get a Hdmi to component converter, which just seems stupid. However, he has older systems hooked up as well that look great ( better than lcd) on this TV.

if you ask google for 'hd tube tv', the first two or so results are obviously porn sites
    you mean a CRT-HD-TV

I was looking on yahoo . Also, I searched for "ps4 stops working on HD tube TV" and similar requests, so those "non gaming" sites never came up.
