    Default Control Setup and Settings

Hey just wondering what way all of you guy's and gal's have wipeout setup ie controls music things like that. this is mine
    steering: Dpad
Accelorator:X, and its set to 60.
    Air Brakes: Set to 90.
Music:At the moment im listening to the new Prodigy album.
    View:Close
    Favourite ship:At the moment Pirahna.
    Hud:wipeout HD
Assisted steering off. I actually had this on for a long time, but after playing pulse for a while i preffered to have it off. but was a steep learning curve wouldn't go back to assist though.

Thats all i can think of for now, if anyone has any tips or suggestions then please share with the rest of the pilots cheers!

Steering: Left analogue stick (still have to try out the d-pad soon I heard it's so much easier to control)
Accelerator: X, and its set to 10. (Read on some post this is pressure sensitive so to set it to 10 acts digital therefore allowing to lightly press to maintain full speed)
Air Brakes: Set to 70. (my sweet spot)
Music: A ton of custom tracks spanning various genres, all adrenalin induced of course perfect for racing to
View: Close (internal looks fun but dizzying)
    Favourite ship:At the moment assegi
Hud: wipeout 3 (easier to make out the weapon icons I think)
Assisted steering off. (No better way to have it, needed off to master online play & the later campaign stages)

I suggest you change that to 10, the higher the number the harder you need to push the button to get full thrust.

    Steering : D-pad
    Accelerator : 10
Air-brakes : Haven't the foggiest. Whatever the default is
View : Internal, and let me go on a little rant here :
Why anyone would even consider using the external view in this game is beyond me. For me this game is all about insane speeds and the thrill of the chase (or being chased), and internal view is by far the best way to achieve that feeling. I tried external view once, and the game seemed so slooow (on phantom). But that's just my opinion.
Ship : Used to be Feisar, but I won my first Nordic Session with Icaras last week, so I'm going with Icaras for now.
    PA : off, off, OFF!
HUD : Wipeout HD. Would like to go back to the 2097 hud, but it really needs the proximity detector.
Music : "Best of" the old wipeout soundtracks, some Pendulum and the Skatalites

    Accel: X - 10 Sensitivity
    Air Brakes: L2/R2 default sensitivity
Music: Anything between techno, rock, old wipeout stuff, and even some anime stuff. ;D
    View: Far
    SixAxis: Pitch only at 60
Craft: Mirage, Goteki 45, Triakis, and Qirex.
    Hud:Wipeout XL/2097
    Pilot Assist: Offffffffff.

Also, I use the D-Pad for steering, have since the first Wipeout, and it's worth noting that I typically have the controller pitched down so I can hug the course and glide through the turns nice and tight, really helped me earn some speed as I'm not specifically crazy about BR's.

Just got a new Saitek PS2700 pad. It lets you swap the position of the stick and dpad around. I find it so much easier to barrel roll with the stick in the normal dpad position

    Steering: Stick
    Thrust: Square set to 10
    Fire: X
    Absorb: Triangle
    Airbrakes: L1 and R1 set to 50
    View: Far
    Favorite Ship: Assegai
    HUD: HD
    Pilot Assist: NO

lol that's just an excellent feature so that everyone can choose which position is the most comfortable for him
